Dr the Hon. Anwar HUSNOO, Minister of Health and Quality of Life received the visits of Professors Francois Sztark and Dominique Dallay of University of Bordeaux on Thursday 02 March, 2017 at 3.00 p.m.
Professor Sztark is the 'Directeur de Relations Internationale, Collèges Sciences de la Santé, Université de Bordeaux' and he is also the 'Chef de Pole d'Anesthésie Réanimation au Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (CHU) de Bordeaux.'
In his capacity of ''Directeur de Relations Internationale' at University of Bordeaux, he has been coordinating all specialised training programmes since 2008. As 'Chef de Pole d'Anesthésia Reanimation' he has been 'Directeur Pédagogique' for specialisation training in 'Anesthésia Reanimation and programme médecine d'urgence' since 2002.
Professor Dominique Dallay is 'Chef de Service de Gynécologie - Obstétrique et Reproduction' at level of 'groupe hospitalier Pellegrin' CHU and he has been the President of the 'Commission Médicale d'établissement de CHU' of Bordeaux from 2007-2015. He has participated in a number of conferences or Medical Professional Development Programme. He will take the opportunity to give a lecture on the theme, "Caesarian Intervention."
Our country is benefitting from assistance from University of Bordeaux for specialists training of Medical Staff and Specialists. It is collaborating to conduct a specialization training programme on "Emergency Medicine."
Discussions have been held for possibility of extending training in priority areas of cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, neuro-surgery, paediatric surgery.
With the support of Resource Persons from University of Bordeaux, a training course was organised from 21-26 November, 2016 and from 28 November-03 December, 2016 to drivers of the Ambulance Service. Drivers were in the course of the training session, imparted with necessary knowledge and techniques to work as a team with Medical and Health personnel to attend to patients in need of urgent health care. It was essential to observe basic First Aid and Re-animation Techniques to look after patients, transport them with care in well-equipped Ambulances to convey them to Hospitals for emergency treatment to save lives.
After their participation in the training programme, certificates were awarded today, to the Drivers who have brilliantly completed the specialised training beneficial in the discharge of their duties.
